Coffee, Nature, and the Landscape.
Each day is focused on the coffee process. You’ll walk the fields, observe how cherries are selected and processed, follow drying and sorting, and taste coffee at various stages. You’ll even be able to make your own coffee, from picking to roasting, to have a truly immersive experience. Bridge over a vertical mile of different altitudes and their ecosystems, indulge in bird-watching, visiting waterfalls and the high-altitude cold and wet páramo landscape, and then dry out with our coffee cherries in the sometimes scorching heat of the low desert. Experience how different brewing methods, such as V60 pour-overs, japanese vacuum (siphon) brewing, and the AeroPress, reveal distinct facets of the same coffee.
Accommodations
Your accommodations are built to exceptional standards of comfort and design. We offer private cabañas and dome-style rooms, each with its own private jacuzzi and stunning views while at the coffee farm. When staying in the hotter low country, you will have an air conditioned boutique hotel-style room with a view to the swimming pool surrounded by palms. High-speed internet is included with a direct fiber optic connection into each building.
We accommodate singles, couples, or families in different-sized cabañas to suit your needs. The all-inclusive experience is priced at $3,000 per person, per week, for singles and $2500 per person per week for double occupancy, excluding airfare. We focus on clarity, rest, and deep sensory experience. Alcohol is available, but not included, to keep the retreat grounded. For family pricing, please reach out with details on accommodation needs.
Dining
All meals are included and prepared from fresh, local ingredients by our in-house chef, Angie Barrera, whose cooking blends Colombian influences with a strong emphasis on contemporary Peruvian cuisine. Our cuisine is rooted in Colombian ingredients and landscapes, while drawing on the depth and precision of contemporary Peruvian cooking. Both countries share an Andean food heritage, but their culinary expressions are distinct: Colombia offers rich agricultural diversity and warmth of flavor, while Peru brings bright acidity, layered techniques, and globally-recognized culinary craft. The combination allows the land to speak in a fuller way on the plate.
Meals are served at Mesa del Cielo, our on-site destination restaurant, and feature ingredients from our own farms, including sous-vide, pasture-raised, hormone-free beef and eggs from humanely raised chickens in mobile coops. Vegetarian, gluten-free, raw and seafood options are always available.
Alcoholic beverages, including craft cocktails, curated local and international wines, and artisanal beers, are available at an additional charge from our bar.
Yoga (Highly Recommended)
Daily yoga sessions are included at sunrise and sunset for those interested in our open-air yoga shala pavilion, with sound baths and a multi-lingual instructor. One session will be held in the páramo (weather permitting) for a unique natural vista.
Closing the loop
We showcase our sustainable practices and secondary industries. You’ll see how we upcycle what others might consider waste to make banana fiber into hammocks and press pseudostem leaves into biodegradable plates. You’ll even learn how to weave your own hat in the traditional Colombian style. We also offer a tropical fruit tasting tour, featuring over a dozen unique fruits that you won't find in North America or Europe. Our farm is your orchard. Also learn about our use of renewable energy sourced from the rain and the sun.
Horseback Riding
Your tour includes a 2- to 3-hour horseback ride that takes you from the high-altitude coffee country plantations down to our warmer sustainable agriculture farm where we have free range cows, mobile chicken coops, and you can learn about cacao and other cultivars. After your visit, you can either return by horseback or take a vehicle back up the mountain.
Desierto de Tatacoa
We also visit the Tatacoa Desert, allowing you to explore this unique ecosystem of colored sand formations. Our cherry drying and commercial roasting facility in Neiva is very close to the desert, making it a convenient base for this excursion.
Water Sports
For those who want more adventure, we also include water sports like jet skiing on the beautiful El Quimbo Reservoir lying between the mountains.
Transportation and Group Size
We provide eco-sustainable transportation for larger groups. Our bus is a converted 1960s chiva (brightly painted bus in the traditional style), totally rebuilt and remodeled, now running on electric batteries with a comfortable, air-conditioned interior, accommodating up to 20 people and picking you up directly from the airport for a smooth arrival.
Two Week Tours
Stay a week longer and include double the experiences. You have the same first week, but can take more time on farther flung sites in your second week.

Archeological Sites
For those staying for two weeks, we will bring you to see the timeless ancient ruins at:
San Agustin
Colombia’s most important pre-Columbian archaeological landscape. The UNESCO World Heritage Site has monumental stone statues of warriors, shamans, animals, and hybrid figures scattered over green hills carved by a civilization that disappeared over a thousand years ago. It’s contemplative, eerie, and visually striking.
Tierradentro
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is quieter and more remote. Its significance lies underground: large painted burial chambers (hypogea) carved deep into the earth more than a millennia ago, accessed by steep staircase. Like with San Agustin, the ancient creators disappeared without a trace.
Hot Springs and Thermal Baths
We will take a dip at the Termales de Rivera, non-sulfurous hot springs prized in the region for their therapeutic effects.
Andean Cloud Forest & Cave Sanctuary
A guided journey into one of Colombia’s oldest protected ecosystems, Cueva del Guácharo. This expedition combines high-Andean cloud forest hiking with a controlled visit to the cave sanctuary of the Guácharo bird (actually an echolocator). Expect physical effort, humidity, and raw nature - not infrastructure or spectacle.
This experience is offered only to guests who value remoteness, patience, and ecological respect. It involves an overnight off the farm, in a national park.
If this level of intensity isn’t for you, you’re welcome to remain at the main farm and spend the time exploring coffee, learning more deeply about our agricultural systems, or joining other available activities.
Coffee Tasting Class
Learn how to actually taste coffee. It looks odd and involves a lot of slurping, but the method is deliberate. This is how professionals isolate aroma, acidity, sweetness, and defects. Once you learn it, ordinary coffee becomes hard to tolerate. So be warned.
Cacao Processing Tour
Our cacao is grown at a lower altitude than our coffee. Our warmer sustainable agriculture farm (with the cows and mobile chicken coops) also has two cacao groves, allowing us to introduce you to this different yet related world. From plant to harvest, fermentation to conching in our micro production facility, you will learn about what makes Colombian cacao some of the best in the world.
Introduction to Barista Skills
Learn the fundamentals of espresso preparation, including dialing in grind size, extraction, and milk texturing, with hands-on practice using a professional espresso machine.
